Quintessential Bob Costas Tribute

Bob Costas is the voice of sports. He can turn even the most boring subject into essential tear-jerking heart-pumping flag-waving melodrama. Just like that scene in "Les Miserables" when the citizens march towards the barricades.

Remind me if I ever run for politics to get a guy like Bob as my PR dude. Plus, hire the ESPN crew to do all my campaign videos. Sorry guys, football has to be one of the most boring 3 hours of television..but 30 minutes of football high-lights by ESPN or NFL Films is actually kind of cool. They add ..action shots, dynamic music, oomph, pizazz, and awe!

NBA Finals
The voice, the emotion

NBC Sunday Night Football
The music, the passion!

If your heart isn't beating faster and your eyes are still dry...there is something wrong with you!

You know there is nothing on TV when...

With a bazillion channels in the line-up, and no fresh (read lame) reality-TV ideas available, they will put just about any thing on TV these days (oh wait it is prime-time) nights.

the 2006 USA Rock Paper Scissors Championship
on A&E.

Underfunded: Canada's Secret Service

The best jokes have some element of truth to them! Check out the USA Network's Underfunded, a show about a lowly Canadian Secret Service agent on a mission: he's out to get some respect. Caught between working with top US Intelligence officials and his budget-conscious boss back in Canada, Darryl finds himself solving world-threatening conspiracies on a small-time budget.

From Maclean's Magazine

There's a new TV pilot being developed in Hollywood about the Canadian secret service and it's called . . . Underfunded. Sure, it's a great punchline -- but can it actually work as a show? There is, of course, no secret service in Canada as it's defined in the U.S. While we have Mounties who work security detail for the PM and other dignitaries, this show will be about an organization such as CSIS. "It's the Kmart version of the CIA," says co-creator Ross Abrash. "But at the heart of the show, we have a Canadian character who's so bright and determined, he's able to outwit the more funded and respected agencies and win the day." Abrash (a writer for The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson) and David Breckman (a producer of Monk) sold the idea to the USA Network and will shoot the pilot in Vancouver in January -- with the hope of premiering it in the summer.

Lost Ep #220: Woo hoo!

Lost Henry is super scarey!!! Ever since Henry uttered his line about an ambush and then calmly asks for some milk for his cereal, he has been the best character on the show after the "prophets" Eko and Locke.

If the Others can do mind control on Henry they can surely have done it to Michael. Another surprising turn! Plus, for a small apparently-deserted island, they seem to have a lot of guns. Too many characters are being shot. Maybe Jack should try and run a Liberal platform and impose gun-control..haha!
